I have an older version of Bergson Bowling Lane, can I still get an update? for_v505 / 27 / 2024
At this time, we are allowing versions prior to v5 to have a free update to v5.x.
How do I get an update of my lane OR a redelivery of my bowling lane?for_v505 / 27 / 2024
Updates are currently distributed through the Second Life Marketplace. 

You can either search for the invoice through your purchases OR go to directly the Bergson Bowling Lane page. 
On that page it'll give you a "You purchased this on...." message. Click on that and it will load the invoice for the lane, on the date you purchased it. 

From the invoice page, under the description and the item name, is a "Redeliver item" link. Click on that to receive the latest version.

My bowling lane, using experience mode, won't give people bowling balls, unless my account is online. When my account is online, people are able to receive bowling balls from the lane.

This definitely is a strange issue and one that we have ran into once. We believe that this is due to a permissions problem with the parcel and/or region. It is possible that you have your region properties set that only certain people can run experiences and the account that was used to drop and install the bowling lanes didn't have that permission.
 This is usually when regions have group permissions and have various roles with varying permissions - and running experience is missing. We will dig into this one a little more to find a more technical response.

There could be various reasons why your lane won't install, so we'll look at the most common instances. You should take a look in Local Chat to see if you see an error message that might match one of the options below. Scenario 1 I see this in local chat: [22:10] Bergson Bowling CCM 5.0: ERROR: "Bergson Bowling" experience not enabled on this parcel. [22:10] Bowling Control Monitor: CCM rejected the install. See chat log for details.

Scenario 1 Solution If you intend to use Experience mode (which is enabled by default), make sure that you have added Bergson Bowling to the list of allowed Experiences for your parcel and your region (if required). If you do not want to use Experience mode, you will need to disable experience mode from the CCM and then try to install again. Please keep in mind, Experience mode is turned on by default and it is the recommended setting. Experience mode allows players to easily use their customized bowling balls on any Bergson Bowling lane and the system will auto attach/detach the bowling ball accordingly. Without experience mode, players will need to attach their bowling balls manually before starting a game.

Sometimes when I bowl, I see pins floating away?4.008 / 24 / 2014

Generally, we have seen this when a sim server is experiencing lag (or its resources are tagged). To try to minimize this, have your bowlers cut down on unnecessary attachments. Also, be sure to not be running an excessive amount of scripts on your parcel. Lag is a common theme in parts of Second Life do your best to keep the sim server resources freed up!

How do I update my bowling lane?4.008 / 24 / 2014

If you have a version with a working update feature, you can left click on your CCM, Owner, Update. This will reach out to the update servers. If an update is available, one will be dropped to you. You can check to see if an updated version is available by going to Bergson’s Bowling Center and checking out the information desk. If one is available and your update feature is not working, please submit a ticket from our website.

How long is a lane reserved for after a game?4.008 / 24 / 2014

A lane can be put on reserve (w/ no activity) for approximately 5 minutes.

I have a lane that has been on reserve for way more than 5 minutes4.008 / 24 / 2014

Sometimes there are glitches (especially in Second Life). Our recommendation is to uninstall the impacted lane. However, if you want to maintain your numbering system on your lanes, we would advise to uninstall and reinstall each lane at your location.

My scoreboard says “No scores recorded…"for_v408 / 24 / 2014

Please verify that you have Score Tracking turned on. To do this left click on your CCM, Owner, Settings, Save Scores, and Select On. However, it may take an hour for your local scores to begin to display on your scoreboard. It is not immediate. We have built a delay into the system to allow for proper validation of the scores as they are being recorded.

How do I turn off score tracking?4.008 / 24 / 2014

Left click on your CCM then from the menu select Owner > Settings > Save Scores > Off.

Note: Lane settings will not be applied until the next new game begins.
